A step-by-step manual instructing students in the basic skills required for industrial drafting and design including advice on the use of AutoCAD and PRO-PIPE, the most commonly used pipe drafting software. The guide walks students through the creation of piping symbols for fittings, flanges, valves, and mechanical equipment. Each step provides a structural foundation for the culminating development of a 3-D model, giving the student an opportunity to visualize an entire piping facility. The volume features over 100 illustrations and photographs, and helpful exercises and questions for review and practice. The six appendices detail dimensional data, lettering, math, architect's scale, and computer use. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or

I use this book all the time for pipe drawings. I agree with others that it is truly the "Bible of Process Piping". My engineers barrow it from me often. Pictures and charts on every page. Welding specs for pipe, pipe fittings and instrumentation assembly details, support details for pipe, different valve descriptions and details, P&ID symbols, welding symbols, tons of pictures throughout showing drafting procedures for piping layout and examples of piping details, many many charts of just about anything you might need from beam sizes to flange standards, stress, thread depth charts, etc. This IS the one, buy it!
